I want you to pretend that you completely disagree with this article. Imagine you are a Record Label executive, and your position is that music piracy is 100% negative. Create a post that will convince people to stop downloading music and any other pirated material (films, software, etc).

Grade 9s, please do the complete opposite! Your job is to defend piracy with LOGICAL and RATIONAL arguments. As both grades finish, please comment on the others' posts (you can find the links below).

Please use images, links, and quotes from other websites (but remember to cite your sources!).

Influential People Presentations

(taken from: http://tech100.t3.com/1/Steve-Jobs.html)

Choose one of the following influential people and prepare a presentation for the rest of the class on Thursday and Friday (can be Keynote, Powerpoint, Prezi, etc). Two students cannot cover the same person, so let me know who you're presenting ASAP! As a rough guideline, your presentations should be about 10 minutes long.

  1. Sergey Brin and Larry Page – Google

  2. Evan Williams – Twitter NADIA

  3. Daniel Ek – Spotify

  4. Stephen Fry – Celebrity (Twitter)

  5. Sir Howard Stringer – Sony

  6. Richard Branson - Virgin Airlines

  7. Yong Nam – LG NAHYEON

  8. Gottfrid Svartholm and Fredrik Neij - Bit Torrent/The Pirate Bay

  9. Bill Gates - Microsoft DARIAN

  10. Mark Zuckerberg – Facebook GEORGE

  11. Steve Ballmer – Microsoft

  12. James Cameron - Director (Avatar, Titanic, Terminator, etc)

  13. Sam Houser - Rockstar Games YOHAN

  14. Radiohead - Music Distribution

  15. Satoru Iwata - Nintendo YOHANES

Focus your research with the following questions:

1) Brief background (how they started).

2) What did they do to develop technology?

3) What impact has it had on society?

4) Who else has made a similar impact?

5) Are there any controversies connected with your subject? As in, has your person been criticized by any groups for what they have done during their life?

Also, find an article about your subject (or their specific company) and lead the class in an analysis using the ITGS Triangle.
