As a practicing Catholic whose faith dictates a certainty in one God, one Son and Holy Spirit, I respect but wholeheartedly disagree with the judgments made within each site. I appreciate others may judge and question my cultural and religious bias, but for me faith is real, certain and necessary.
And, since I have 'faith' in Science, I would have to contend that it seems unreasonable to me to have such a vast amount of space out there and have it unused. With the billions of galaxies, each with billions of star systems, even if only an insignificant portion of them had planets orbiting them, the formation of life elsewhere is a statistical inevitability. I'll admit to a degree of uncertainty on this issue, but I nevertheless believe there is life on other planets.
